KINEXON freut sich, Matt Aldred, Assistant Head Coach und Director of Basketball Performance der Furman University, als neues Mitglied des KINEXON Ambassador Program bekannt zu geben.
Matt Aldred, Mitglied von Furman Athletics, leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Männer-Basketballprogramm der Dins und leitet das Kraft- und Konditionstraining. Der in Eastbourne, England, geborene Coach ist bereits seit sechs Spielzeiten bei den Dins tätig — mit dem Highlight in der kürzlichen Saison 2022⁄23, in der das Team am NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament mit herausragenden Spielern wie Jalen Slawson und Mike Bothwell teilnahm.
Slawson wurde 2023 mit dem SoCon Player of the Year und SoCon Male Athlete of the Year geehrt und wurde in der zweiten Runde des NBA Drafts von den Sacramento Kings ausgewählt.
Bereits in den letzten drei Spielzeiten arbeitete Aldred mit KINEXON PERFORM IMU zum Performance-Tracking, um seine Athleten weiterzuentwickeln. Die Saison 2022⁄23 brachte das Programm nach einem 87 – 86 Überraschungssieg gegen die University of Virginia im NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament auf neue Höhen.
“Matt hat eine Schlüsselrolle in der Entwicklung von KINEXON’s Basketball Analyselösungen gespielt. Er arbeitete mit unseren Sportwissenschaftlern und Produktentwicklern zusammen und half uns dabei, Lösungen zu entwickeln, die Trainern Einblicke verschaffen, mit derer die Leistung der Athleten messbar verbessert und die Basketball-Programme weiterentwickelt werden können. Ich freue mich darauf, dass er weiterhin eng mit KINEXON zusammenarbeitet und auf dem gemeinsam geschaffenen Momentum im Basketball aufbaut.”
Auch Aldred drückt seine Begeisterung aus, weiterhin eng mit KINEXON zu kollaborieren: “KINEXON spielt eine entscheidende Rolle, indem es unseren Spielern und unserem Personal wichtige Leistungsmesswerte liefert, die es uns ermöglichen, unsere Jungs effektiv auf die Saison vorzubereiten und eine optimale Vorbereitung und Erholung während der Saison zu gewährleisten. Als Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach sehe ich einen immensen Wert in Sportwissenschaft und Datenanalyse; ich strebe danach, eine Mischung aus Krafttrainer und Sportwissenschaftler zu sein, da ich glaube, dass unsere Branche in diese Richtung geht. Ich freue mich darauf, die großartige Beziehung mit KINEXON fortzusetzen und den Branchenstandard in der Leistungsmessung und Analytik weiter zu erhöhen.”
Als offizieller KINEXON-Ambassador wird er die Forschung im Bereich Basketballanalysen unterstützen und als Ressource für neue Technologieinnovationen dienen, die Trainer und die Entwicklung von Spielern voranbringen. Er trägt dazu bei, KINEXON im Basketball zu einem unverzichtbaren Bestandteil zu machen und teilt Einblicke, um die Entwicklung von Daten-Analysetools weiterzuentwickeln.
“Wir arbeiten gerne mit Matt zusammen und freuen uns darauf, mit ihm weiterhin Lösungen für Basketballtrainer und Athleten zu entwickeln. Unsere Arbeit basiert auf dem Feedback, das uns Trainer geben, um über das hinauszugehen, was aus datenanalytischer Sicht möglich ist. Dies ist eine beidseitig vorteilhafte Beziehung und wird mit Matt’s Anleitung weiter fortschreiten.”
Diese Zusammenarbeit ermöglicht es Aldred, auch andere Trainer über die Vorteile von Basketballanalysen und Leistungstechnologien für die Spielerentwicklung aufzuklären.
Die Furman University mit Sitz in Greenville, SC, ist Mitglied der Southern Conference (SoCon). Das Männer-Basketballprogramm ist eines von 18 Division-I-NCAA-Teams auf dem Campus. Das Programm erreichte mehrfach (1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1980, 2023) einen Platz im NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Derzeit wird das Programm von Bob Richey geleitet, mit einer Gesamtbilanz von 139 – 55 (.716) in den letzten sechs Spielzeiten.
