New York Calling: KINEXON beim German Accelerator dabei
Dresden, 15. Oktober 2015 — Das Sportanalytikunternehmen KINEXON Sports & Media gewann in Dresden einen Pitch für den German Accelerator in New York. Im kommenden April wird das Team seine hochmoderne Funktechnologie den US-Sportvereinen, Hochschulteams und Medienunternehmen vorstellen.
“These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you” — Kinexon goes New York! Die Stadt New York war bereits das Thema vieler berühmter Lieder. Ob Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez oder Frank Sinatra — und bald wird auch die berühmteste Metropole ein Kernthema für das Startup KINEXON sein. Gestern gewann das Münchner Unternehmen nämlich einen Pitch-Wettbewerb in Dresden. Der Preis: Ein Ticket nach New York mit dem German Accelerator. Drei Monate lang hochkarätiges Mentoring mit Branchenexperten und inspirierenden Unternehmern.
“Die USA sind einer der wichtigsten Sportmärkte der Welt”, betonte KINEXON-Gründer Oliver Trinchera in seinem Pitch. Er überzeugte die Jury um Experten wie Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, einen der führenden Entrepreneurship-Wissenschaftler in Deutschland und Andy Goldstein, einen erfolgreichen US-Gründer, der tatsächlich nach Deutschland kam, um mehrere Softwareunternehmen erfolgreich zu gründen. Die Bewertung der Jury: “KINEXON hat ein starkes Team, das ein faszinierendes Produkt in einem schnell wachsenden Markt vorantreibt.“
KINEXON Sports & Media entwickelt eine hochpräzise Sensorik, um Athleten zentimetergenau zu verfolgen — und will damit die nächste Generation der Generierung von Sportinhalten ermöglichen. “Die Sportanalytik ist auf dem Vormarsch”, betonte Maximilian Schmidt, CEO von KINEXON Sports & Media. In der Tat: Fast jedes Team in der NFL, MLB, NHL und NBA verwendet tragbare Technologien, um die Trainingsbelastung oder die taktische Leistung zu messen. “Mit KINEXON wird die Sportanalytik genauer und damit zuverlässiger und sinnvoller”, betont Schmidt.
Gemeinsam mit der Technischen Universität München und der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation hat KINEXON eine Spitzentechnologie entwickelt. Mit dem Beitritt zum German Accelerator will das Sport-Tech-Startup den nächsten Schritt gehen — den Einstieg in den größten Sportmarkt der Welt. Um es mit den Worten von Frank Sinatra zu umschreiben: „We start spreading the news – even if we not leave today.“ Aber bald wird auch KINEXON ein Teil davon sein.
