IIoT-Technologie von KINEXON launcht in der SmartFactoryOWL
Industrial-IoT-Lösungen von KINEXON befinden sich seit Juli 2019 auch in der SmartFactoryOWL in Lemgo im Einsatz.
Die SmartFactoryOWL ist ein herstellerunabhängiges Industrie 4.0 Anwendungs- und Demonstrationszentrum des Fraunhofer IOSB-INA und der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe. KMUs haben hier die Gelegenheit, die Potentiale von Echtzeitlokalisierung für ihre Transformation zur „Intelligenten Fabrik“ in der Praxis zu testen und Know-how aus erster Hand zu erhalten.
Seit 2018 pflegen KINEXON und das Fraunhofer IOSB-INA mit mehreren gemeinschaftlichen Projekten einen partnerschaftlichen Wissens- und Technologietransfer. Nun wird in der Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe ein weiteres Kapitel aufgeschlagen. Kennzeichen der Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe ist ein breiter Branchenmix im verarbeitenden Gewerbe mit Schwerpunkten in der Möbel‑, Ernährungs‑, Kunststoff- und Metallindustrie. Hier erwirtschaften 190.000 Beschäftigte in 1.696 Unternehmen einen Umsatz von 38 Milliarden Euro. Ostwestfalen-Lippe gehört damit zu einer der stärksten deutschen Wirtschaftsregionen.
So soll der Mittelstand in Ostwestfalen-Lippe profitieren
Christian Zwillich, Sales-Manager bei KINEXON, sieht in dem kooperativen Austausch mit der SmartFactoryOWL und Fraunhofer Lemgo Vorteile auf allen Seiten:
„Gemeinsam werden wir Unternehmen aus der Region Ostwestfalen-Lippe konkrete Anwendungsfälle von Echtzeitortung für die ‚Intelligente Fabrik‘ aufzeigen und zugleich Wissen rund um die Technologie fördern. Gleichzeitig bietet das Fraunhofer IOSB-INA für uns viele spannende Ansätze der Zusammenarbeit durch das umfangreiche Know-how in den Bereichen IoT-Sensorik und Cyber-Security“, erklärt Zwillich.
KMUs sind eingeladen, eigenen Anwendungsfall zu schaffen
Als Fullstack-Anbieter bietet KINEXON aus einer Hand drei zentrale Technologien für das industrielle Internet der Dinge (iIoT): ein RTLS-Sensornetzwerk zum Asset-Tracking in Echtzeit, eine RIoT-Plattform zur Live-Abbildung eines „Digitalen Zwillings“ und Process Mining zur Analyse und Optimierung von Produktions- und Logistik-Prozessen.
In der SmartFactoryOWL in Lemgo bietet sich KMUs die Gelegenheit, in I4KMU-Testumgebung und akkreditierter Forschungsinfrastruktur modernste Top-Technologien kennenzulernen, zu testen, pilotieren und in die eigenen Arbeits- und Produktionsprozesse einzuführen. Zudem stehen wissenschaftliche Experten sowie zahlreiche Events, Touren oder Seminare zur Verfügung, um Unternehmen praxisnah bei der individuellen digitalen Transformation zu unterstützen.
„Studien belegen, dass die Optimierung von papiergebundenen Laufwegen einer Produktion durchschnittlicher Größe etwa 15 – 35 % Kosteneinsparungen in der Logistik bringen kann“, erklärt Fraunhofer-Wissenschaftler Sascha Heymann. „Wir haben diese wertvolle Transparenz im Fokus, und arbeiten gleichzeitig an sicheren Schnittstellen für die Sensorfusionsplattform RIoT (Real-time Internet of Things), zum Beispiel mit der Implementierung von OPC UA.“
