KINEXON auf dem Generation Investment Management´s Industrial IoT & Automation Summit
Kinexon wurde vom Generation Investment Management zum “Industrial Internet of Things & Automation Summit” nach New York eingeladen. Generation Investment Management ist eine Investmentmanagement Firma, die 2014 vom renommierten Al Gore gegründet wurde. Generation strebt danach, bessere Anlageergebnisse zu erzielen, indem sie konsequent eine langfristige Perspektive verfolgen und Nachhaltigkeitsforschung vollständig in einen strengen Rahmen der traditionellen Finanzanalyse integrieren.
Al Gore, Vorsitzender von Generation, begann den Tag mit seinen Eröffnungsreden. Die Veranstaltung stand ganz im Zeichen von Podiumsdiskussionen, Best-Practice-Fallstudien sowie renommierten Teilnehmern wie BMW Group, Search Fund Accelerator, IBM und Siemens. Verschiedene Referenten teilten dabei ihre Gedanken über die sich schnell entwickelnde industrielle IoT-Landschaft. Wo sehen wir den größten Nutzen dieser Technologien? In welchen Branchen und zu welchem Zweck? Welche neuen Geschäftsmodelle werden ermöglicht? Mehrere Teilnehmer präsentierten einige der bahnbrechendsten Anwendungsfälle, die heute auf dem Markt zu finden sind. Kinexon trug mit zwei Best-Practice-Anwendungsfällen in den Bereichen Navigations- und Lokalisierungssoftware für Fahrerlose Transportsysteme (FTS) zum Gipfel bei.
FTS werden derzeit anhand von Markierungen auf dem Boden oder mittels Lasertechnik navigiert. Bestehende FTS-Lenkungstechnologien besitzen jedoch viele Nachteile. Induktions- oder laserbasierte Navigationen sind unflexibel, kostenintensiv und fehleranfällig. Sie sind nicht für die verschiedenen vielversprechenden Anwendungen im Bereich des industriellen IoT geeignet und ermöglichen derzeit keine Schwarmintelligenz von FTS-Flotten. Deshalb hat Kinexon gemeinsam mit einem deutschen Premium-Automobilhersteller eine Lösung zur Steigerung der Intelligenz und Flexibilität der FTS-Lenkung entwickelt. Die hochmoderne Funktechnologie von Kinexon in Kombination mit den odometrischen Daten des FTS bietet eine hochflexible und präzise Lösung für die Positionierung und Navigation von FTS.
Eine weitere vorgestellte Best Practice war unsere Lokalisierungssoftware-Plattform Kinexon RIoT (Real-Time IoT). Standortdaten können aus verschiedenen Quellen in unterschiedlichen Formen stammen. Jede Lokalisierungstechnologie, wie beispielsweise hochpräzise UWB, Wi-Fi, GPS und RFID, ist für verschiedene Arten von Anwendungsfällen geeignet. Die entsprechende und parallel genutzte Software der Dienstleister erhöht die Komplexität der IT-Landschaft deutlich. Das Fehlen einer Softwareplattform, die alle Arten von Standortinformationen in großen Mengen (500.000 Positionen pro Sekunde) und in Echtzeit (unter 50ms) integriert und verarbeitet, ist ein Problem. Die Lösung ist die Kinexon IoT-Plattform Kinexon RIoT, die über Standardschnittstellen alle Arten von Positions‑, Status- und Identifikationsdaten — auch aus Fremdsystemen — in Echtzeit und in großen Mengen integriert, verarbeitet und visualisiert.
