NHL Teams Starting to Rely on Sports Data

The data was for NHL staff only but was shown live on the NHL network. It was used as part of the evaluation of the athletes for the upcoming NHL draft.

Apart from providing our technology for the combine, the NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins is already using our hockey analytics solution in their daily work. You can find out more details about this cooperation soon here on our blog.

Providing Hockey Analytics for Elite Teams

Aside from assisting with scouting combine, KINEXON Sports offers two types of systems for hockey: a live player tracking system (LPS) that uses radio frequency sensors to capture real-time data on player position, speed, distance, and more, and a mobile load management system (IMU) that uses inertial measurement units to measure player acceleration, deceleration, and directional shifts.

These systems help coaches and trainers monitor and optimize player performance, load, tactics, and injury prevention.

We with some of the most successful and innovative hockey teams in the world, including teams of the NHL and international hockey leagues.

KINEXON Sports is a leader in sports analytics and a pioneer in hockey innovation. If you’d like to learn more about the solutions we provide for collecting hockey analytics, you can request a demonstration by clicking the link below.

Why Tracking Player Performance Data Makes Soccer Training More Effective for Match Day

In soccer, player readiness creates a competitive advantage that clubs can’t overlook. Winning second balls, sprinting while attacking the offensive zone during stoppage time, and executing decisive presses are the marginal moments that define matches. Clubs that keep more players prepared throughout the season consistently perform at a higher level.
