Savino Del Bene Scandicci gehört zu den besten Frauen-Volleyballteams Italiens und nimmt auf internationaler Ebene an den höchsten europäischen Wettbewerben teil. Über das Team
Nach dem zweiten Platz in der italienischen Serie A im vergangenen Jahr nimmt Savino Del Bene Scandicci in diesem Jahr an der CEV Champions League teil — dem wichtigsten offiziellen Wettbewerb im Frauenvolleyball in Europa.
Das Team verfügt über viele talentierte Spielerinnen, von denen einige zu den besten der Welt gehören, wie die chinesische Außenangreiferin Zhu Ting, die zum MVP der Olympischen Spiele 2016 und der FIVB-Weltmeisterschaft 2019 gewählt wurde. Sie kam 2022 zu Savino Del Bene Scandicci und ist seitdem eine wichtige Spielerin für das Team.
Oder Maja Ognjenović, eine serbische Setterin, die für ihre hervorragende Technik, ihren Weitblick und ihre Führungsqualitäten bekannt ist. Ognjenović hat mit der Frauen-Nationalmannschaft insgesamt 17 Podiumsplätze bei großen Wettbewerben auf Welt- oder Kontinentalebene (Olympische Spiele, Welt- und Europameisterschaften) errungen.
