Die Euro­päi­sche Hand­ball­fö­de­ra­ti­on EHF eta­bliert den Sel­ect iBall für gro­ße Tur­nie­re zur Mes­sung von Kenn­zah­len wie Ball­ge­schwin­dig­keit, Schuss­po­si­ti­on und Schussdistanz.

The Sel­ect iBall made ano­ther appearance during a major hand­ball sports event: The Women’s EHF EURO 2018 that took place in France from Novem­ber 29th until Decem­ber 16th 2018.

After the suc­cessful VELUX EHF FINAL 4 2018, the Euro­pean Hand­ball Fede­ra­ti­on EHF estab­lishes the Sel­ect iBall for major tour­na­ments. In a total of five matches, inclu­ding all semi-finals and the final, the Sel­ect iBall was in use and mea­su­red metrics like ball speed, shot posi­ti­ons and shot distance.

The results were trans­mit­ted as TV gra­phics via the offi­ci­al broad­cas­ting signal, whe­re a peak audi­ence of 8.1 mil­li­on wat­ched France win in an exci­ting final against Rus­sia 24:21. In ins­ge­samt fünf Spie­len, dar­un­ter alle Halb­fi­nals und das Fina­le, war der SEL­ECT / KIN­EXON iBall im Ein­satz und maß Kenn­zah­len wie Ball­ge­schwin­dig­keit, Schuss­po­si­ti­on und Schuss­di­stanz. Die Ergeb­nis­se wur­den als TV-Gra­fik über das offi­zi­el­le Über­tra­gungs­si­gnal trans­por­tiert, wo ein Spit­zen­pu­bli­kum von 8,1 Mil­lio­nen Zuschau­ern mit­er­leb­te, wie Frank­reich in einem hoch­span­nen­den Fina­le Russ­land mit 24:21 bezwang.
