In May 2021, FIFA and KINEXON announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration in the field of Live Player Tracking. At that point, FIFA mainly aimed to utilize KINEXON’s tracking innovation expertise to advance the way clubs and players can receive next level insights on health and development, and also how the sport is presented to fans around the world.

In July 2022, the FIFA Quality Programme and KINEXON strengthened and extended their collaboration until 2024. KINEXON’s status from then on also includes ball tracking. From that point on, KINEXON is the world’s first​“FIFA Preferred Provider Live Player & Ball Tracking.”
