European Handball Federation and KINEXON Sports Extend Partnership Until 2028 and Agree on Ambitious Development Roadmap
Munich, January 30, 2025 – The European Handball Federation (EHF) and KINEXON Sports are thrilled to announce the extension of their long-term partnership for an additional four EHF EURO tournaments. The new agreement, effective from 2025 to 2028, covers the integration of KINEXON real-time player and ball tracking technology at the Men’s EHF EURO 2026 and 2028, as well as the Women’s EHF EURO 2026 and 2028. The partnership features a visionary development roadmap aimed at advancing handball through the strategic use of data bring the experience for all stakeholders to the next level.

Since 2020, KINEXON Sports tracking technology has been integral part of all EHF EURO matches to capture, measure, and analyze the real-time movements and positions of players and of the official iBall of SELECT. This will now continue until 2028.
The technology by KINEXON Sports enables numerous data-driven applications that benefit coaches, fans, media, and even the scientific community – all in real-time and fully automated.

The partnership between the EHF and KINEXON Sports enables a wide range of applications, revolutionizing both team performance analysis and the fan experience:
- Enhanced Fan Experiences: The EHF will leverage the data to share data-driven insights and statistics through its communication channels, both in arenas and online. This will give fans unique perspectives on the dynamics and strategies of handball.
- Media Integration: Media outlets will continue having a dedicated app and an open interface, enabling them to incorporate selected data into their live and post-match reporting.
- Advancing Science: The University of Alicante, as the EHF’s partner university, will gain access to the tracking data to support the EHF in addressing various sports science questions.
- Support for Coaches: All participating teams’ coaches will have access to the KINEXON Sports App, which provides a wide array of real-time data on player load and performance. This offers invaluable insights for training management and tactical decision-making.

The extended partnership also features a visionary development roadmap aimed at advancing handball through the strategic use of data.
