European League of Football and KINEXON Launch Partnership

In cooperation with the European League of Football, KINEXON’s LPS system will be used for live player tracking in American Football at the upcoming Championship Game in Klagenfurt. The European League of Football also aims to further enhance the fan experience with live stats at the highest level.

A milestone for American Football in Europe

The second European League of Football Championship Game will see a clash between the best American Football teams on the European continent this weekend. Hosted in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt, the Vienna Vikings and Hamburg Sea Devils will compete on September 25th2022.

For the very first time, an American Football game in Europe will benefit from live player tracking provided by KINEXON Sports. For this purpose, 24 anchors are placed around the field of 28 Black stadium in Klagenfurt and both teams will be equipped with a total of 110 sensors placed in the shoulder pad of each player. 

Metrics and statistics from KINEXON in real time

Key metrics provided by KINEXON will include impact, speed, distance and acceleration. All relevant data and statistics will be made available to coaching teams via the KINEXON sports app in real time. 

American football fans at home will benefit from KINEXON’s live data, as TV commentators will be able to access all data during the game and use it for their commentary. In addition, broadcasters will visualize the live data for innovative statistics on TV
