In 2021, FIFA announced KINEXON as a Preferred Provider Live Player Tracking. The goal of the collaboration: identify applications of live tracking data that make sports better. Be it for players, coaches, media or spectators.

One year later, Nicolas Evans, who leads FIFA’s initiative, and Maximilian Schmidt, Global Sports Lead at KINEXON, look back on their experiences from the first twelve months and provide insights into how live tracking technology will develop in football.
